FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 3, 2001 -
Boca Resorts, Inc., (NYSE: RST) a leading owner and operator of luxury
resorts in Florida announced today the appointment of David S. Feder to
the position of Senior Vice President - Resort Operations. In this position
he will be responsible for the operations of all Boca Resorts, Inc.'s properties
including the company's flagship Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton,
Florida. This appointment is effective October 15.
Feder, 54, replaces Michael F. Glennie who resigned from the company in September to accept a position in Tokyo, Japan. Feder joins Boca Resorts from the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa where he was Senior Vice President and Managing Director. Feder joined the Biltmore when it was acquired by Boca Resorts, Inc. Boca Resorts sold its interest in the Biltmore in December 2000. The announcement was made by Richard C. Rochon, Boca Resorts, Inc. Vice Chairman and President. "We are extremely pleased to welcome David back to South Florida where he enjoyed so much success as Vice President and General Manager of the Boca Raton Resort and Club. David has senior level experience at some of the Country's leading luxury hotels including the St. Francis in San Francisco, The Plaza in New York City and The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. David is re-joining an experienced and talented management team that he helped assemble during his tenure at the Boca Resort. Importantly he has years of experience in the South Florida luxury lodging industry,'' Rochon added. Feder began his career at his family's hotel in New York. He has served as vice president of sales and marketing at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida and the Innisbrook Resort in Tarpon Springs, Florida. He also has held management positions in sales, marketing and operations for Princess Hotels International, The Plaza in New York City and the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Feder holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from American University, Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from Rider College in Trenton New Jersey. Boca Resorts, Inc. owns luxury resort properties and golf courses in Florida.
