Contracts for Four Hotels
Agreements Reflect Strong Operating Performance

DALLAS (July 17, 2001) - Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE: WYN) announced today five-year extensions of its existing management agreements for the 238-room Wyndham Orange County Airport in California and three hotels in Galveston, Texas:
the 231-room Hotel Galvez and 117-room Tremont House, both Wyndham Historic Hotels, and the 42-room Harbor House, a non-proprietary branded property. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

"As we move closer toward becoming a leading branded hotel operating company, our focus on franchise and management contracts intensifies," said Fred J. Kleisner, chairman and chief executive officer of Wyndham. "We are committed to seeking out new opportunities in these important areas and, more importantly, in remaining focused on achieving strong operating performance at those properties we already manage."

The Wyndham Orange County Airport is owned by Amgreen Heritage Hotel Partners and has been managed by Wyndham Management Corporation, an affiliate of Wyndham International, since March 1993. It was originally flagged a Wyndham Garden Hotel, but was

"This agreement reaffirms our continued confidence in Wyndham's management and its growth strategy," said Joseph Amoroso with Amgreen Heritage. "The industry-leading standards they continue to set for the Wyndham brand and the their ability to implement changes consistently across locations are important components to their success at instilling loyalty among guests."

The three hotels in Galveston are owned by 1870 Strand Corp., a family-owned business, and have been managed by Wyndham since August 1997. The two Wyndham Historic Hotels were reflagged to carry the Wyndham name in July 1998.
