HSMAI Turns to Daniel Teitelbaum, Author of The Ultimate
Guide to Mental Toughness, to Develop Continuing
Education Program for Mastering Sales Techniques
WASHINGTON, DC (Aug. 10, 2001) The world's greatest Olympic and professional athletes study performance training to reach the highest baselines of focus and motivation.  As that same practice and philosophy applies to the sales and marketing profession, HSMAI has partnered with Daniel Teitelbaum, nationally-syndicated columnist and author of the book, The Ultimate Guide to Mental Toughness, to develop a state-of-the-art CD-ROM-based continuing education program for its membership to help improve and master their sales techniques.

Uniting technology with education to raise the level of our members skills, confidence, and sales intensity is a really exciting prospect, announces Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.

Through CD-ROM technology, our membership will now have available a continuing education program they can use on their PCs or on their laptops, anytime and anywhere, to increase their levels of motivation, activity and sales productivity on demand.

This high performance, 12-part continuing education program will be customized for the HSMAI memberships specific needs, marketplace and industry conditions.

This customization will ensure the program will have maximum impact as the CD-ROM series uses video footage and individualized coaching to accomplish this.
These techniques are ones similar to those that the Tiger Woods and Mark McGwires of the sports world use to stay in the zone -- and focus on winning -- during competitive situations, says Teitelbaum.  Through the use of high technology, and with our modification of this skill training for HSMAIs membership, individuals will be able to raise their own levels of focus and intensity during the work day, with the ultimate goal of increasing business.

In his past association with HSMAI members, Teitelbaums practices have met with outstanding success.  He was the top-ranking speaker at the HSMAI Sales & Marketing Summit in both 2001 and 2000, where he presented sessions on Mental Toughness as well as Selling in Uncertain Times.

Furthermore, Teitelbaum will be guest speaking at a number of HSMAI chapters during the course of the year, including San Jose (Aug.  17), Houston (Aug. 24), Memphis (Aug. 31), Richmond (Sept. 7), Chicago (Sept. 11), Boston (Sept. 19), Jacksonville (Oct. 5), Columbus, OH (Oct.  9), Ft. Lauderdale (Oct. 10), Phoenix (Oct. 18), Tucson (Oct. 22), and Los Angeles (Nov. 14).
