Washington, May 21, 2001 - The Parsippany, N.J.-based Wingate Inns
International, Inc. became the first national hotel chain to sign every
one of its hotels, comprising 9,000 rooms, to the American Hotel &
Lodging Association's (AH&LA) "One for One for One for 100 Days" campaign.
The association's membership drive allows properties
to join participating AH&LA member state associations for $1 per one
room for one year if they enroll within the campaign's 100-day span - from
Memorial Day to Labor Day.
"This campaign is a great way to introduce our properties to AH&LA,
which is an outstanding organization that serves as a great resource for
our hotel owners," explains Keith J. Pierce, president and CEO of Wingate
Inns International. "Enrolling and paying for every open Wingate
Inn® hotel to become an AH&LA member was an easy decision."
AH&LA membership allows Wingate properties to receive several new
benefits the association, including an employment practices liability insurance

Allied Members Can Join the AH&LA

launched "One for One for One for 100 Days" American Hotel & Lodging
Association (AH&LA) membership campaign, prospective allied members
can join the association at a special membership rate. Hospitality
vendors and suppliers who join AH&LA between Memorial Day to Labor
Day pay only $100 for one year - a discount of up to 95 percent. (Regular
allied membership dues are based on a company's annual gross revenue from
the U.S. lodging industry.)
"The AH&LA Allied Executive Committee wants to support
our chairman, John Russell, in this aggressive and exciting initiative,"
said Karin Mastrangelo, AH&LA senior director of member/strategic relations.
"By offering this opportunity to potential allied members we will have
