Conrad As a Luxury Brand in the United States

NEW YORK - June 5, 2001-- Conrad® Hotels today announced that The Waldorf Towers(TM), an exclusive 180-room hotel in New York's famed Waldorf Astoria®, has been named the first Conrad Hotel in North America.

This property conversion follows the November 2000 announcement that Conrad Hotels is set to expand as the worldwide luxury hotel brand of Hilton Hotels Corporation and Hilton Group plc.

"The Waldorf Towers, with its prestigious and legendary history of fine service, is the perfect hotel to represent Conrad Hotels in its North American debut,'' said Clem Barter, president of Conrad Hotels. "This is a very important move for our brand, as this conversion is just one example of how we expect to grow Conrad Hotels portfolio of luxury hotels around the world.''

"Conrad Hotels has developed a distinctive and exceptional brand reputation, which perfectly matches The Waldorf Towers current service, standards and product,'' added Pamela Graber, executive director of The Waldorf Towers. "Their support will be an added asset for the future and we are looking forward to this new relationship.''

Opened in 1931, The Waldorf Towers is an exclusive 'hotel-within-a-hotel' that has served as the setting for some of New York's most historical moments and meetings. The hotel has been the New York home of every sitting U.S. president since Herbert Hoover, as well as numerous world leaders, royalty and celebrities. The hotel occupies the 28th through 42nd floors of The Waldorf Astoria, affording guests convenient access to all the fine restaurants, shops and services of the adjoining landmark hotel.

The Waldorf Towers offers a residential ambiance distinguished by exceptional privacy and highly personalized service. The hotel welcomes guests at a separate, dedicated entrance on 50th Street for reception and concierge assistance.

After check-in, guests enter private elevators operated by white-gloved attendants, which whisk guests to the hotel's guestrooms. During the entire stay, a sophisticated team of employees gracefully accommodate every wish for the world's most discerning travelers.

Crystal chandeliers suspended from 15-foot ceilings cast a sparkling glow in The Waldorf Towers' 101 deluxe suites and 79 executive guestrooms, exquisitely decorated with French and English antiques and museum-quality reproduction pieces and Oriental rugs. All guestroom and suite accommodations feature dual-line speakerphones, fax/printer/copy machines, modem hook-ups, voicemail and high-speed Internet access. Twice-daily maid service, plush bathrobes, and an upgraded selection of in-room amenities round out the ultimate guest experience.

A historical landmark, The Waldorf Towers is located on the corner of Park Avenue and 50th Street in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Within walking distance, guests will find Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Theater District, some of the city's finest restaurants and Madison and
Fifth Avenues' incredible shops and art galleries. The hotel's address is 100 East 50th Street, New York, NY 10022; telephone: +1
212 355 3100; fax: + 1 212 872 7272.
