OLD LYME, Conn., March 13, 2001 - INNCOM International,
Inc. announced today an exclusive agreement with Cendant Corporation�s
Travel Division to offer advanced energy-management services to Cendant�s
6,441 franchised hotels and 3,400 RCI timeshare properties worldwide.
Under the agreement, which is potentially the
largest energy-management contract of its kind, INNCOM offers Cendant�s
franchisees a centrally controlled energy-management system that adjusts
the temperature of unrented and unoccupied guest rooms through an interface
with the hotel property- management system. The system is designed to save
energy without sacrificing the comfort of guests, who can adjust temperature
settings as soon as they occupy their rooms.
�Utility savings derived from the INNCOM energy management system will
result in significantly lower operating costs, depending on the property�s
location, its utility rates and occupancy,� according to Duane Buckingham,
