  Starwood Installing TopLine PROPHET Enterprise 
Revenue Management System in 200 Properties 
by Year�s End

 
COLUMBIA, Md., March 6, 2001 - OPUS 2 Revenue Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc.  (Nasdaq: MCRS - news), has completed the development of a new Enterprise Revenue Management System which will be installed on a global basis for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT - news). Starwood properties include the Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W and Four Points by Sheraton brands. The TopLine PROPHET Enterprise Revenue Management System, a major module of the OPERA Enterprise Solution, has been beta-tested at several of Starwood�s North American properties and is scheduled for a company-wide rollout starting immediately. Among the first properties to utilize the new system will be the W San Francisco, the Sheraton Bal Harbour, The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta and The Westin Horton Plaza in San Diego.
 
OPUS 2�s TopLine PROPHET Enterprise Management System represents the highest level of technology in today�s hospitality marketplace. Its client- server system provides centralized yield management over the Internet, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), allowing data for multiple hotels to exist in a single database. All updates are automatically distributed from the central server, minimizing the support needed for client workstations.

Starwood Named Edward S. Netzhammer as Vice President of Global Revenue Management in December, 1999
 
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.� December 14, 1999 - Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. named Edward S. Netzhammer to the newly created position of vice president of global revenue management. In his new role, Netzhammer�s responsibilities will include managing Starwood�s revenue management systems on a global basis, as well as creating a new revenue management system for the millennium.  Netzhammer begins his position January 1, 2000 and will report to Keith Ferrazzi, Starwood�s chief marketing officer. 

Netzhammer brings to the position more than 15 years of experience in hotel management at leading properties throughout the United States. Most recently, he was managing director of The Westin Century Plaza Hotel. Prior to that, he was area managing director for The Westin Mission Hills Resort, Rancho Mirage, California and spent two years as area managing director at The Westin Horton Plaza, San Diego. In addition, Netzhammer oversaw such luxury properties as The Westin La Paloma, Tucson; Arizona Sheraton El Conquistador, Tucson; The St. Regis, Aspen, Colorado; and The Phoenician, Phoenix. 

Before Netzhammer began his career with Westin in 1996, he held key positions at the San Diego Marriott Suites - where he received the David Ling Award for Sales Leadership - the Houston Marriott North at Greenspoint; the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Manhattan Beach, California; and several luxury hotels in Florida, Missouri and Louisiana. 

Netzhammer received a B.S. degree in general business at Nicholls State University, Thibodaux, LA. Netzhammer and his family are relocating to the New York area from Los Angeles.
