Top Ten In-Room Movies for 2000 |
Movie Sales for On Command DENVER, Jan. 4, 2001 - "2001: A Space Odyssey" is the movie that gave
us a preview of the new millennium, but "There's Something About Mary"
and "American Beauty" were the most popular movies purchased by hotel guests
in the old one, according to results released today by On Command Corporation
(Nasdaq: ONCO), the leading global provider of in-room interactive entertainment,
Internet services, business information and guest services for the lodging
industry.
In related news, On Command also released its list of the top ten most
popular movies purchased in company history. The list reflects the top
ten movies, according to overall revenue, for the more than 3,450 hotels

Movie Sales for LodgeNet SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 3, 2001 - A supernatural thriller and a dark
comedy about suburban America were guests� top movie choices at hotels
served by LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET - news) during
the year 2000.
LodgeNet reports that its most popular theatrical movie in 2000 was The Sixth Sense, a Hollywood Pictures release showcasing the talents of director M. Night Shyamalan and actors Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment. American Beauty�which won multiple Oscar® awards including Best Picture�ranked second on LodgeNet�s list, followed by Erin Brockovich; The Whole Nine Yards; Gladiator; The Perfect Storm; The Green Mile; Mission: Impossible 2; Double Jeopardy; and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. Two of LodgeNet�s Top Ten titles were part of the company�s first ever mid-month release, which brought Gladiator and Mission:Impossible 2 to hotels two weeks earlier than their normal window. LodgeNet�s movie delivery efforts also featured the first installations of the company�s interactive digital platform with a digital content server.
