through Completion |
Santa Ana Pueblo, NM February 1, 2001 - Developer, TynanGroup, Inc.,
headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA, is pleased to announce the completion
and opening of the 350-room Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa, along with the
18 hole Twin Warriors golf course. The resort is strategically
located 20 miles from Albuquerque and 40 miles from Santa Fe. Official
opening ceremonies took place on January 15, 2001.
As the Developer, TynanGroup managed every phase of the projects development from design through completion. This included project planning, management, and accounting. The design, by Hill Glazier Architects, Inc. of Palo Alto, creates an ambiance of an authentic old New Mexico pueblo community, from open-air courtyards to an adobe-style lobby, complete with tribal history and artwork. The use of natural materials like stone, wood and adobe combined with woven textures and shades of maize, pumpkin and turquoise contribute to the Native American atmosphere. The premiere Twin Warriors 18 hole, par-72 championship golf course, also developed by TynanGroup and designed by Gary Panks Associates, features a major water exhibit, scenic views of the Sandia Mountains, and is surrounded by archeological sites dating back to the 1200s. Three full service restaurants, meeting facilities, open air event space,
and a 16,000 square foot full-service spa and fitness center complete the
resort.
