February 2001 � Mr Brian Deeson, President and CEO of Century International
Hotels has appointed Mr Peter James Freeman as General Manager for
Imperial Century Hotel & Resort in Indonesia, and Mr John MacNeill
for Century Imperial Palace Suites in the Philippines.
Mr Freeman, of New Zealand nationality, brings
to Century more than a decade's experience in the hospitality industry.
His versatility and competency in executing various duties is displayed
during his prior appointments as the Director and General Manager of two
properties of a major hotel group in Australia. Apart from hotel
management skills, Mr Freeman's previous practical experience in the field
of food and beverage will stand him in good stead when he assumes his role
at the 197-room Imperial Century Hotel & Resort in West Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mr John MacNeill, a British national, joined the 516-room Century Hong
Kong Hotel as their Rooms Division Manager in October 1999. A graduate
in Hospitality Management from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland,
Mr MacNeill has also assisted in the pre-opening of the 210-room Century
Inn North Point, the fourth property managed by Century International Hotels
in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Century, Mr MacNeill acquired his
hotel management skills while working at various hotels and resorts in
Scotland. With this promotion, Mr MacNeill joins the rank of General
Manager and is responsible for all operations and management of Century
Imperial Palace Suites in the Philippines.
Century International Hotels currently manages 21 hotels and resorts
in seven Asian countries - Hong Kong SAR, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Singapore and the Philippines. Opening in 2001 will be the 140-room
Century Samarkand Hotel in Uzbekistan. |
