Group Developing a Four Seasons Ski Resort Property
at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY
JACKSON HOLE, Wyo., Feb. 6, 2001 - Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Louis Dreyfus Property Group today announced plans for their first ski resort property in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA in partnership with Four Seasons Hotels Inc. (NYSE: FS; Toronto: FSH), the worlds leading operator of luxury hotels.  The property, which will be called Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, is situated on a prime location in Teton Village next to the main lifts at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Slated to open summer 2003, the prestigious 125-room resort will be located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, bordering Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, the largest intact ecosystem in the United States.  The ski-in, ski-out luxury hotel will include a private health club and spa, including a pool and two restaurants, with 8,000 square feet of meeting space.  A 40-unit, Four Seasons Residence Club/fractional interest ownership development, and 17 luxury slope-side and penthouse suites are planned as part of the complex.

Isadore Sharp, Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts chairman and chief executive officer, commented, This latest project is aligned with our plans for future focused growth, and represents a key destination for our guests.  Jackson Hole is an ideal setting and meshes well with our objective to operate the finest resort hotels in premier destinations, and to introduce first class ski resorts to our growing roster of properties.

We have spent several years planning the development of Teton Village, said Jerry Blann, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort president.  With upgraded mountain facilities and improved air service, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort needs a flagship hotel, and we believe Four Seasons will not only fulfill that role in the region but also within the industry.

Our research tells us that our guests are looking for the kind of off-mountain rest and relaxation only Four Seasons can provide in a convenient and unbeatable location.  We are extremely pleased to partner with such a prestigious and experienced hotel operator on this project.  The Louis Dreyfus Property Group is also a very strong asset to the partnership having worked on luxury properties with Four Seasons for over 20 years.  Together we will design this property to reflect the regions western culture and also capture the ambiance of getting further away from it all.

Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole will complement other new developments in Teton Village and allow guests a choice of accommodation standards. Four Seasons accommodations will increase JHMRs competitiveness as a world-class winter and summer destination resort, Blann said.

The new property will be located at one of the largest ski resorts in North America, which has 4,139 vertical feet of terrain and over 2,500 skiable acres.  Winter enthusiasts will find direct access to lifts including the Aerial Tram, Bridger Gondola and a new high-speed quad located 50 yards from the resort.

Cross-country and snowshoe access to Grand Teton National Park from the resort, and dog sledding or ballooning activities provide an incredible winter wonderland experience in a truly western setting.  When the snow melts and the wildflowers bloom, Jackson Hole is a summer haven for outdoor activities ranging from golf, hiking, fly fishing, to whitewater rafting, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.

Nestled in the pristine Teton Mountain Range, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort provides the ultimate location for premier lodging woven into the rustic old west.  Jackson Holes untamed landscape offers a year-round escape for those wanting to get further away with a high-mountain adventure on skis, snowboards, horseback, mountain bikes, canoes or on foot.  The Four Seasons Resort will complement the majesty of what is arguably the most photographed mountain range in the United States.

Established in 1971, Louis Dreyfus Property Group acquires, develops and manages first-class office buildings in North America and Europe.  Its current portfolio consists of over 6 million square feet of properties for development and rentable space, including the 260-room Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C.
