May 16--PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Bay Point Wyndham Resort announced Gary Johnson has been named the new general manager.

Johnson has spent 34 years in the hospitality industry, and comes to Bay Point Wyndham Resort from the Four Points Sheraton in Destin.

Johnson said he believes a dedicated staff with a can-do attitude is paramount when it comes to creating enjoyable guest experiences. He also said he sees himself as a mentor for employees.

"I want all of our employees to feel just as at home here at the resort as our guests do," said Johnson, in a news release.
