The Augusta Chronicle, Ga.McClatchy-Tribune Regional News April 30--Visitor spending in Augusta is projected to generate more than $1.9 million during May. The General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia's annual Ushers Ministry Conference, May 8-11, is expected to provide the most in visitor spending at about $563,000 and 700 visitors, according to information provided by the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Augusta Sports Council. The conference will be held at the Augusta Convention Center on Reynolds Street.
