| By Cecilia Baress, The Times-Tribune, Scranton, Pa.McClatchy-Tribune Regional News Oct. 22--A Williamsport-based developer has revived a dormant proposal for a Commerce Boulevard hotel, officials said. Richard Born of Liberty Hospitality Partners plans to build a Holiday Inn Express and Suites on a plot of land adjacent to Dickson City's Red Robin, according to consultant Gary Burcher. "We're looking for an April opening," said Mr. Burcher of Keystone Consulting and Associates. The site was intended for a Marriott hotel developed by D.J. Meagher of Susquehanna and currently under construction in Moosic. Mr. Meagher's project was delayed when borough council resolved not to approve any permits until a sewer line connected to the property was repaired. Local real estate developer Siniawa and Associates signed an agreement with the borough to repair dips in the line in July. With the repairs now complete, developers plan to submit a formal land development plan to the borough's planning commission, Mr. Burcher said. The 102-unit, four-story hotel will include an indoor pool and spa, Mr. Burcher said. It will have slightly less impact than the original 109-unit Marriott building, he said. "The footprint is different but smaller," he said. There will also be a change in the parking lot configuration and the stormwater management system, he said. Liberty manages hotels in Williamsport, Hanover and Shrewsbury, as well as locations in Virginia, Maryland and Florida. Efforts to reach Mr. Born and Mr. Meagher were unsuccessful Wednesday.
