CALL FOR PAPERS

ASIA PACIFIC JOURNAL of
TOURISM RESEARCH

Submission Guidelines

As an official journal of the Asia Pacific Tourism Association (Founded September 1995), the APJTR seeks to publish both empirically and theoretically based articles which advance and foster tourism education, research, and professionalism in the Asia Pacific region. The Journal welcomes submissions of full length articles, research notes, critical reviews on major issues, and reviews of books and conferences with relevance to the Asia Pacific region.

»  Submission of a manuscript to this Journal represents a certification on the part of the author(s) that it is an original work, and that neither this manuscript nor a version of it has been published elsewhere nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.
»  The Journal publishes two main classes of articles:  full-length articles or approximately 5,000 words (15-25 pages, double-spaced), and short research notes/reports/reviews of about 1,500 words (5-10 pages, double-spaced).  References, citations, and general style of manuscripts for this Journal should follow the APA style (as outlined in the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association).  References should be placed in alphabetical order.
»  If the manuscript is successfully reviewed and accepted for publication, the authors must certify that they are members of the APTA or join the membership (annual membership dues US$50 including journal subscription fee.)
»  Submit three copies of the manuscript with a signed cover letter stating the following:  “I/We certify that this is an original work, and that neither this manuscript nor a version of it has been published elsewhere nor is being considered for publication elsewhere.”
»  To facilitate the double blind review process, authors are instructed to include their names, academic titles and degrees, current affiliations, mailing addresses, and contact information (telephone and fax numbers with the country and city code, and e-mail when available) only on the cover page.  Any information which identifies the author(s) should not appear elsewhere in the manuscript.
»  Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) will be required to submit final copies of the manuscript both in hard copies and diskette copies (on Microsoft Word 6.0 or higher).
»  Direct manuscripts and questions to:  Editor-in-Chief, Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research.
