Orlando, FL (May 13, 1998) – The Educational Institute announces the emergence of the Accredited Certification Instructor (ACI) program recently offered to AH&MA member state associations and select industry training professionals.
In a joint endeavor, the Educational Institute’s Centers for Professional
Development and Federation Alliances
successfully
hosted the charter training for EI’s newest certification program, in Orlando
from April 30 - May 1, 1998. A group of 18 individuals completed the inaugural
training of ACI, certifying them to instruct EI professional certification
review classes. These individuals are now qualified to conduct classes
for the following certification designations: Certified Hospitality Supervisor,
all department head certifications and the prestigious Certified Lodging
Manager (CLM) and Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), the industry’s two
highest certification distinctions for general managers of limited and
full service properties respectively.
“The premise behind the development of ACI is to enable the member state associations to run their own certification review classes,” according to Allan Kronberg, Educational Institute’s vice president of the Centers for Professional Development and Federation Alliances. “By providing them with an accredited instructor, these associations now have the foundation to instill an ongoing certification program for their state. We will continue to work closely with these organizations as they develop their individual programs. EI is confident that a program of this magnitude is guaranteed to promote a higher level of professionalism throughout all facets of our industry,” Kronberg concluded.
